A very close reproduction of the dagger in the Wallace collection London, most likely French about 1450.
The Blade is of hollow ground and single edged form with a diamond profile rib along the spine almost the full length of the blade. It has an 8mm spine and gentle distal taper to its robust thrusting point.
The matching disk guards are of blued steel. While the timber grip is decorated with subtly roped brass bands and two decorative cinquefoil brass mounts.
The sheath is of basic leather construction with a hollow brass chape.
