A fourth Century B.C.cutting xiphos copied from one of the excavated unpublished examples from Vergina.
Forged spring steel blade with non linear distal taper, spine thickness at shoulder of the blade is 9.8mm and thickness at the tip is 1.6mm.
Bone grip and pommel with typical layered construction steel guard.
The scabbard has a solid poplar core with leather covering and synthetic ivory furniture. Finished with a woolen baldric.
