Description
ID779
Harness based on the Swabian statue of St George in the Met.
Some interesting features of this harness.
While initially appearing symmetrical the arms are of a completely different construction. The right being of the fully articulated type while the left is a floating couter.
The combination gorget and bevor, along with the falling lame and typical gorget articulation, has a turner in the neck allowing a great degree of movement in all planes.
Many of the edges of plates are decorated with a dot pattern. While the pauldrons, couters and polyns have brass capped pyramidal rivets.
