Description
Forged iron axe head with forge welded HC steel edge.
The original was found in the River Bann, Co. Derry, Ireland. It is dated some where from the 13th to 16th century. Because the silver inlay on the original is so degraded the pattern from a contemporary Irish axe has been used.
68 grams of silver inlaid into the two sides of the axe head
Cutting edge: 7 3/4 Inches long
Weight: 730g
