Based on the example in the Wallace collection exhibited with A21. Skull is raised from a single piece of 1055 steel. 2mm thick at the top, 6mm thick in the forehead and thinner at the sides and back.
The gilt pierced border has been made to match with the borders on the Michael Pacher statue of St George.
