A particularly faith copy of a very large ballock dagger in the Collection at Rothenburg. Listed as North Italian (Venetian) 1450.
Long, slightly hollow ground square section blade with reinforced point on one side. The Ricasso is stepped and thicker than it is wide.
Robust engraved and gilt brass guard.
The grip is of ebonised hawthorn.
Pommel cap is pierced and engraved gilt brass with fine silver disk underneath.
