A spiked ball mace of the kind shown in 15th C German illustrations particularly those by Durer and Talhoffer. It is constructed from High carbon steel throughout. Each of the spikes riveted into the body and individually hardened and tempered. The two halves of the head are brazed together and the horizontal spikes further secured by brazing.
