The decoration is taken from a 15th C German manuscript and construction techniques from remnants of a surviving pouch found in england and others of the same kind from the Netherlands. It has two small draw string coin pouches on the front under the main flap.
The pouch is completely hand sewn from vegetable tanned leather and decorated with brass rivets.
The belt has a hand made brass buckle and plate decorated with brass mounts (ID 491) and lined with fabric.
