German early 16th C katzbalger.
Quillions have been hand forged, carved and engraved.
The timber cored scabbard is completed with a brass throat and chape. Within the scabbard are two by-knives with 6 inch blades and an awl.
Blade 25.6 inches long, 6mm down to 4mm distal taper, Weight of Katzbalger 1220g, Weight of complete set 2080g.
