Based on the sword XXa.1 in Oakeshotts Records of the Medieval Sword, from the 2nd Quarter of the 15th C.
Flattened diamond section blade from 6mm stock. With 3 fullers along the length of the ricasso, the central fuller extending further down the hand polished blade.
The timber cored scabbard is fitted with risers to complement the grip. The suspension method is taken from the artwork of Albrecht Durer.
Straight crossguard and scent stopper pommel. Grip is timber, wrapped with cord. Then risers have been added before the leather outer.
