Pouch purse based on several depictions shown in late 15th C art, in particular the Nuremberg Lady painting by Albrecht Durer. The pouch is made from a thin cowhide back, dyed red, and the front and pouchlets are from very thin and supple green deer hide. The pouchlets and main pouch are stitched so that the stitching is on the inside, and using waxed linen thread.
The three pouchlets close by hand made buffalo horn beads which slide snugly along leather thong. The main pouch is closed by a large disc and button/knob sliding along the leather thong.
