This spear head is completely forged from a single piece of spring steel is of the convex (or egg) style Rapin Type II.
From the end of the early La Tene through to the Middle La Tene period, 290 B.C. to 190 B.C.
This spear head is based on a specific example from the sanctuary of Gournay-sur-Aronde in Northern France.
Total Length: 268mm. Width at widest point: 80mm. Medial rib: 14mm thick at base of the blade. Weight: 310g.
