A reconstruction of the fragmentary bard on display in the Muzeul Militar National Bucharest.
Most likely late 15th C. The scales and rondels have been made from stainless steel to reduce maintenance and cleaning.
A joint project between Chris Bahlo and myself consisting of 92 rondels and 587 scales, makes for a unique bard that works extremely well with the horse’s movement.
