Ballock dagger with forged and hand polished spring steel blade and engraved makers mark.
Ballock style grip of octagonal section, carved from plum wood and terminated with an engraved brass cap. The junction between the blade and grip is protected by a gently curved metal plate.
Copied from an example found at Bull Wharf on the river Thames now in a private collection.
Blade length 6 1/4 inches. 7mm spine.
Weight 125 grams.
