Not just effective weapons of war, these maces are beautiful pieces of art and symbols of power and authority over other men.
This example has been completely hand crafted using the techniques of the time.
The slots for the flange have been cut into the shaft with a chisel. The ferrules and knobs are all forged into shape. Then once all the components are assembled the whole piece is brazed together and painstakingly hand filed and polished to its present form.
